if I’m miserable from this stomach virus/food poisoning or because I have to stay up to start homework. Either way, it’s going to be a terrible morning.
On the bright side, though, I got to sleep for 20+ hours over the last day. I feel that’s how much I sleep in an entire week combined.
I also had a banana for the first time in years today. And lots of bread minus the crust. That’s going to be my diet for a while. Boo.
I think hanging out with your brother more is a great way to slowly integrate him back into your family if you feel like he’s drifting. The idea may seem weird to both of you at first, but why shouldn’t brothers be able to hang out? Sometimes all a person needs is some one within their family that they can relate with or talk to in order to make that familial bond stronger. You’ve got to show him that even though you’re further away now or you guys haven’t been as close recently, you’re still there for him. Maybe you’ll begin to understand more clearly why there seems to be a growing split between him and your family. Hanging out will allow you guys to develop a relationship different from the only you had years ago when playing together was forced upon you; you can begin to understand each other as individuals, maybe even as friends, instead of brothers.
I know whenever my cousins & I hang out, it makes me extremely happy because they’re the closest thing I have to siblings.
submitted my application to study abroad in London for the upcoming fall semester. I don’t know why, but I was crazy nervous just clicking “submit” even though I know this step isn’t binding in any way.

恭喜发财! It’s technically not until tomorrow, but who cares? Let the weekend celebrations begin!
So I trekked to work this morning in the snow. After work, I walked back to Gram to take the bus down to campus for my 12:30 class. Getting there 10 minutes before class starts, some one from my class tells me that NYU just sent out an email saying all classes at or after 12:30 were canceled. If it hadn’t been for that kid, I would have never known because I don’t get email on my phone (way to be smart, NYU). Great, I went all the way down to campus for nothing, especially since all of my classes today are after 12:30. Thanks a lot for nothing, NYU. So I had to drag my ass all the way home, and now I’m in bed watching the snow fall.
Edit: Wait, hold on… I just got a text. Oh, it’s from the NYU emergency system telling us classes are canceled… it was sent at 1:03. That doesn’t help considering I’m already home.
& I’m about to trek to work followed by a day of classes. Where is my snow day at, NYU?
I’m just lying in bed and waiting for it to snow. NYU refuses to say that classes will be canceled so screw everyone that has snowdays. I don’t want to study for this linear algebra quiz; if it gets canceled then I don’t have to take it until next Wednesday. Please snow, come swiftly & heavily. But I’ll still have to get up early to go to work and make those big bucks.
Great game. I was my loud usual self. There was food and friends and football; what more do you need? Oh yeah, the exciting Saints win didn’t hurt either. The franchise’s first championship’s gotta feel really good, and it’s a great win for a great city and a great team.

So these past couple of weekends have been hectic, because school’s just starting up and there’s plenty of things to do and opportunities to go and hang out. I went out 3 times last week, and I’m probs going to have gone out 3 times by the end of this weekend too. I’ve found that going out is fun, because there are always new people to meet and old friends to catch up with. No failed nights, so far…. not even tonight after BCB when the bar was at capacity and we got turned away.
Going out also doesn’t mean alcohol needs to be involved, sometimes a nice chill movie and board games is better than a night wasted drunk. The one time I drank this weekend resulted in a hang over and an upset stomach the next morning; not very fun at all. And last week, when we went to a bar, we stumbled upon a 30-year-old’s birthday party and were ridiculed and hit on by older guys. Just remember: party hard, fall hard. But I’m not going to lie, it certainly helps to have that as an option now, if ya know what I mean.
Yay, two of my favorite worlds are finally colliding: gay men & musicals! Hey, wait a minute…..
But in all seriousness, I’m super stoked to have found out today that Neil Patrick Harris, gay man of the decade (check the results & article if you still don’t believe me), will be making a guess appearance on Glee around May sweeps *fingers crossed* if all goes well in network talks between CBS & Fox. SO EXCITED & already can’t wait for this episode/series of episodes to air. (via)

& it feels so good.
I still can’t get over the epicness that is Lost. Today and probably most of this week until next Tuesday, was and will be filled with chitchat about this & upcoming episodes. Nothing makes sense anymore. You think you understand it, and then BAMMM, something completely unexpected happens that blows your idea out of the water. Alex told me today the that the series finale is set for Sunday, May 23rd from 9-11PM. Even though that’s months away (3 months, 19 days, and some-odd hours to be exact), I’m excited and sad that it’s gonna end. But my questions better be answered! And there better not be some spin-off or movie that comes from this, because that would kill the greatness that has been 6 years in the making. Once it’s all done, I plan on watching all 6 seasons straight through to see what I missed the first time around. IT. WILL. BE. EPIC.
